In this job, you’ll promote Procurement excellence by leading the development and implementation of strategic objectives for the greater Procurement organization, including business process optimization, technology enhancements, compliance management, and methodologies. This role supports improving and enhancing processes, procurement performance, budget savings-benefits tracking, sourcing-supplier compliance, and reporting techniques across all $6.9B in third-party spend. Your interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills will be fully exercised as you lead strategies focused on value creation, cost savings, continuous improvement, and risk mitigation, as well as optimizing sourcing strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.. Responsibilities

  • Oversees and implements new procedures and digital enhancements to streamline processes and increase compliance by leveraging Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and other project management principles
  • Provides continuous improvement guidance and facilitates process improvement activities to help achieve company objectives
  • Leads process improvement projects to gain efficiency and financial benefits, delivering cost savings for SCE
  • Develops and reviews financial benefit models for major process improvement projects
  • Delivers innovative business process solutions that capitalize on technology and increase efficiency
  • Develops models and reports to track business performance and goal progress and facilitates the design and development of business systems and processes
  • Partners with key functional teams to identify, manage, and execute multiple complex cross-functional process improvement initiatives
  • Prepares detailed reports and presentations to present findings and recommendations to senior management
  • Oversees the execution of key milestones, status, and quality of deliverables. Guide the successful completion of programs, projects and initiatives.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of experience with business process improvement or operational excellence initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Procurement or Supplier Relationship Management
  • Project Management expertise
  • Experience delivering executive-level presentations and briefings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft technologies (OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Relevant certifications (CPM, CPSM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Skilled in developing procurement strategies and negotiating vendor contracts
  • Experience with procurement tools and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with technology solutions (Ariba, SAP, etc.)
  • Consulting experience, including client needs assessment and action plan development
  • Expertise in change management techniques and methodologies

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
