Job Summary
The P/T EOF Counselor provides personal, academic, career, financial counseling and advisement both on an individual and/or group basis. Supports and collaborates with EOF team on student success and retention projects, conducts workshop sessions during the Fall and Spring semesters and provides input through the research of relevant EOF related material that is shared with students and staff for further development. Also, provides input and support into a variety of other program initiatives and events including Pre-Freshman Orientation Program, mini-orientation, careering seminars and/or EOF Awards/Recognition ceremony. This is a 12-month position, can work up to 24.5 hours per week.
Qualifications - Education
Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of counseling experience or related field is required.
Qualifications - Experience
Must be able to develop activities to help support student success and retention efforts. These should include tutoring, advisement, and professional leadership. Experience working with first-generation college students is a plus.
Qualifications - Skills
Must have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with a diverse student population, faculty, administrators, and other constituents.
Work Hours
Work hours are a maximum of 24.5 hours per week.
