This position partners with all departments within the business in planning, executing, and documenting all cross functional projects as a resource that analyzes and provides situational decisions/recommendations for the business with regard to indirect purchasing. Responsible for the completion of key organizational activities related to unit openings, new items roll-outs, and inventory replenishment. Maintains a consolidated view of each teams’ priorities, purchasing, warranty, inventory, and pending deliverables. Collaborates closely with other internal teams and provides effective interactions with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages orders from a multitude of different vendors, including production time from initial order to production line completion.  Regularly makes decisions using many different resources for the appropriate location of delivery in the interest of meeting construction deadlines. 
  • Analyzes and identifies opportunities in purchasing and contracting of services that would improve timeline, accuracy, and overall performance of the delivery. Oversees decisions to reroute equipment deliveries to other locations in order to meet faster timelines when timelines are changed or if original shipment to a certain site is delayed and could interrupt timelines for that unit.
  • Recommends and manages par levels and safety stock levels on a regular basis to ensure inventory levels meet the demands of business, including leading each new unit’s expected inventory supply and securing the delivery of expected stock at each jobsite.
  • Creates, tracks, and manages equipment shipments and installations services. Responsible for oversight, determination, and management of appropriate inventory of equipment and supplies for each department.  Plans shipment dates according to schedules and monitors delivery timelines in order to make decisions regarding rerouting of previous orders, if necessary.
  • Serves as point of contact for all warranty related questions or concerns. Handles equipment and supply warranty issues and concerns. Partners with Operations to schedule appropriate vendor to do the warranty work. 
  • Manages the process of ensuring proposals, purchase orders, and invoices align.  Researches discrepancies in order to provide resolution and process payment.
  • Collaborates with project team on status of schedules and develops department metrics and reports.
  • Responsible for overseeing internal and external relationships with general contractors, consolidator(s), suppliers, and carriers to optimize the manufacturing and distribution of equipment and construction needs.
  • Provides recommendations and makes strategic decisions for equipment delivery and installation dates that align to schedules for projects assigned.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

Experience:

  • Experience in contributing to the management of projects is preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience preferably in restaurant industry

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Visio (as applicable)
  • Proficiency in Workday (as applicable)
  • Ability to communicate well with the general public and experience in establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with management, vendors, and co-workers
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Working Conditions/Travel Requirements:

  • Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities
  • Must be able to report to work timely and as required by operational/business needs
  • Must be able to work a full-time schedule and work outside of normal business hours when necessarySome travel, both locally and long distances, (including air travel), to worksites, meeting sites, and other locations may be necessary
