Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 25lbs.



Shift

Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hrs/wk); other hours/schedule as needed.



Job Summary

This position is located off-campus in Hazard, KY.

The Registered Dietitian Consultant is responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition care to all assigned clinic patients. Key duties include analyzing laboratory data, physical findings, and examination results; developing individualized nutrition plans based on the acuity matrix; and utilizing all available data to accurately document patient information and care plans.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Dietitian will actively participate in continuing education initiatives for fellow healthcare professionals and serve as a preceptor for the dietetic internship program. This position is based in Hazard, Kentucky.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will integrate current practice guidelines and make dietary recommendations. They will also have direct patient care, critical thinking, and basic computer navigation skills. They will be able to communicate with patient families and the provider/ peer team. They will also have knowledge of electronic health records or be familiar with a similar system.
