Job Summary
In this role, you’ll be an essential part of a team dedicated to supporting groundbreaking research in tobacco regulatory science, with a particular focus on rural and Appalachian communities. This is a unique chance to work with experts across multiple disciplines, helping to drive positive health outcomes and lasting change. The Career Enhancement Core serves as the hub within AppalTRUST to promote and support the career development of new and early-stage investigators through our Scholars program, enrichment activities, mentorship, and professional development networking opportunities.
This is a high-level position with responsibilities to include working with diverse local community members and scientists; developing and monitoring websites, social media, and other communication and public relations; maintaining regulatory protocols; communicating professionally with the National Institutes of Health; engaging in data collection and analysis for evaluation; developing scholarly materials; and supervising trainees. A research background is strongly preferred.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Some skills with data bases, excellent communication skills, able to engage in problem solving, budgeting, and personnel training.

Preferred Education/Experience
Need to have a background working with community members, preferably in the public health field.
MA and at least 10 years professional work experience preferred. Experienced with technology, project management.
