Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is hiring a Full Time Day RN Clinical Supervisor.

Skilled Nursing encompasses Westminster-Canterbury's Long Term Care (LTC) and Rehab.

We have immediate openings for: Full Time Days, 7am - 7pm

Schedule is 3 days one week, 4 days the next with an every other weekend rotation for all Full Time and Part Time positions.

What will I do?

The primary purpose of the Registered Nurse Clinical Supervisor position is to oversee and direct nursing care for the residents and to supervise the daily nursing activities on assigned units of Skilled Nursing.

  • Serves as Shift Supervisor for Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care Residents in our HOY center.
  • Reports directly to Director of Nursing Services and is supported by ADON, Long Term Care Manager and Skilled Nursing Manager. 
  • Responsible for oversight of timely documentation, follow up and completion of investigations for incidents/accidents and resident family concerns/issues. Such incidents include but are not limited to: medication errors, pharmacy issues, facility reportable incidents, etc. 
  • Assists in problem resolution between staff, residents, families and visitors as identified through investigations.
  • Participates and assists in survey process and readiness.
  • Communicates policies to the nursing personnel. Maintains standards of the facility and sees that all policies are enforced.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth communication.
  • Guides and focuses team members on the Lighthouse Engagement Model, Westminster Canterbury's patient-centered care model.
  • Assures clinical staff are implementing person centered care plans, performing care activities appropriately and recognize change in resident status by collaborating with families and participating in resident assessments and observations.
  • Complete daily clinical and environmental rounds to evaluate resident care and report significant events. Assures pharmaceuticals, equipment, and supplies are available as needed.
  •  Acts as back up emergency nurse.

What do I need for this role?

  • At least two (2) years of clinical and managerial experience in long-term care.
  • Current R.N. licensure in good standing within the state of Virginia.
  • Current CPR Certification.
