How will you make an impact in this role?
US High Balance Customer Management strategy team sits within the Commercial Credit Risk department, part of the Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) and supports the institutional credit risk management function within American Express. The team is a first line risk management team developing strategies to manage exposure from U.S. high balance commercial clients and customers by proactive portfolio monitoring, reviews and strategy enhancements. The team is tasked with partnering with Global Commercial Services (GCS), Global Services Group (GSG) and within Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) to develop strategies to grow our business while preventing write-offs from large balance clients.The team is split across New York and Gurgaon Offices.
Key responsibilities of the individual include:
- High Balance Case Reviews: Perform in-depth reviews across end-to-end customer management risk functions to identify strategy and process opportunities using data analytics.
- Manage periodic scanners and alert processes to identify clients with High Balance Disputes in a timely manner and take appropriate actions.
- Partner with operations and servicing teams on High Balance collection processes
- Partner with risk partners across CFR, GCS, GSG to enhance existing risk strategies and customer treatment
- Work on high profile escalations to identify process gaps and partner with concerned risk teams.
- Provide regular updates to Risk and GCS leadership
Qualifications
- Attention to detail and comfortable working with large data sets
- Experience in analyzing structured/unstructured data using SQL, SAS, or Python
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Capability of translating data-driven insights into actionable results
- Ability to drive change, influence without authority and deliver results
- Logical, consultative, and adaptive to change
- Strategic thinking, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Positive energy, collaboration and excellent communication skills are a must
- Undergraduate degree required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with large datasets and extracting insights.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
