Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm, flexibility is required on evenings and weekends
FLSA status: Exempt
Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Purpose of Position
Purpose of Position
Under limited supervision and with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment, support industry engagements through coordination with various campus units on behalf of Research & Innovation (R&I).
Essential Functions
Coordinate, schedule, and arrange campus visits, meetings, events, agendas, tours, and experiences for industry engagements.
Pioneer structuring a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database for the university's external relationships and use strategies to gather and input intel from UTEP affiliates and industry POCs.
Ensure UTEP's engagement with industry has follow-ups and that progress is documented, organized, and tracked for campuswide awareness and communication.
Work with various campus contacts to identify industry partners that need growth and act on it through emails, phone calls, in-person outreach, tabling, etc..
Interact and support deans, department chairs, senior leadership, and internal or external partners as an R&I liaison.
Generate reports using databases and software to inform and guide leadership on partnership statuses.
Create an annual budget for activities related to your office.
Become a University Economic Development Association member and represent UTEP at their annual conference.
Maintains an environment that promotes efficiency.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
Complies with all State and University policies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university within area of assigned responsibility.

Experience: Two years related experience to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
