The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for builds, deployments, packaging, integration, automation and releases of software . This includes collaborating with developers and managers in order to define build definitions to meet internal and external requirements and timelines. The Senior DevOps Engineer must be highly analytical & process oriented, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have e xcellent organizational and time management skills, be able to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects at one time, and be motivated, professional, and creative. Experience in regulated industries is highly desirable.


  • Lead efforts in automation, builds, deployment, and configuration management.
  • Manage and maintain the primary customer-facing application environment.
  • Actively participate in Engineering Scrum and design meetings to drive quality releases.
  • Contribute to planning efforts for disaster recovery, capacity expansion, and system upgrading.
  • Work with configuration system and infrastructure management.
  • Monitor applications with Application Performance Monitoring tools.
  • Code in one or more of several popular programming languages.
  • Produce and maintain documentation on installations, incidents, and procedures requirements for systems.
  • Research new promising technologies, strategies, and ways to solve technical issues.
  • Work across IT functions and collaborate effectively to deliver complete technical solutions.


  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer, Release Engineer, or Build Engineer - ideally in a Microsoft ASP.Net web environment
  • Experience with tools such as: PowerShell, Puppet, Chef, TFS Build, MS Deploy, Jenkins, Docker, etc.
  • Experience with MS infrastructure domains: AD, Windows Server 2008R2, SQL Server 2008/2012, Azure, etc.
  • Understanding of fully automated environment provisioning
  • The ability to clearly communicate with technical and non-technical customers and staff.
  • 4+ years of professional experience with:
  • PowerShell, Puppet, Chef, TFS Build, MS Deploy, Jenkins, Docker, SQL, PL/SQL, and/or T-SQL.
  • Software maintenance experience, including handling code management and documentation issues
  • Grasp of formal software development lifecycle fundamentals.
  • Iterative and waterfall software development methodologies.
  • Professional experience with: MS SQL Server Administration, IIS Server Administration, ASP.Net, VB.Net or C#.Net.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents.
