It is a major distributor of tequila and other spirits, best known for Jose Cuervo, the world's largest-selling tequila brand. With over 300 employees, the Lawrenceburg, IN facility (Proximo Distillers Indiana - PDI) bottles about 15 million cases a year for all North America.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Reporting to the Director of Bottling, the Senior Manager – Contract Manufacturing & Supply Network Optimizationis responsible for driving Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Team Engagement and Development and operating results for all contract manufacturing operations. In this new role, you will provide oversight to operations and drive results for all external manufacturing sites. Additionally, this role will champion the network capacity model for the entire U.S. Bottling Operations network and determine point of production for new products and cost-optimization opportunities for the TPM program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management of KPI’s for external suppliers; including budget planning, tracking of on time service and within budget, contracts, and manufacturing tactical execution.
  • Developing and driving Strategic Bottling Factory Capacity Plan for external and internal bottling operations.
  • Monitoring external Manufacturer market landscape to understand new capabilities, conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
  • Identifying network cost optimization opportunities across bottling network.
  • Establishing and fostering strong collaborative relationships with external manufacturing partners and service providers.
  • Leading continuous improvements, system implementations and/or strategy development.
  • Developing manufacturing service and supply agreements in close collaboration with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain and Quality.
  • Collaborating with Supply Planning and External Manufacturers to resolve capacity issues, ensure with main stakeholders that proper investigation and RCA’s are defined with remediation plans executed for schedule adherence deviations, customer complaints, product failure and inventory adjustments.
  • Participation in quarterly business review meetings and driving continuous improvement agenda.
  • Collaboration with NPD Team for efficient product launches and acting as a single point of contact for New Product introductions at external manufacturing sites.
  • Travel for in-person interactions with contract manufacturing entities to ensure production is on plan. Expected travel - 25%.
  • Executing End-to-End Loss Eradication and driving Zero-loss mindset within external manufacturing operations.

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field required.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations management, logistics and/or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding oral, written, and formal presentation skills including ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools to streamline operations and drive continuous improvement
