Job Summary

The Senior Specialist for AI is a visionary leader and creative problem-solver, driving the future of student engagement through cutting-edge artificial intelligence. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Major Projects, this role blends strategy, technology, and empathy to reimagine how students interact with support services, using AI to personalize communication, streamline processes, and unlock data-driven insights that elevate student success.

As the central connector between the Office for Student Success, university leadership, and ITS, this role ensures AI tools are not only effective but ethically grounded—championing transparency and trust. From designing smart systems that anticipate student needs to crafting seamless digital experiences, the Senior Specialist transforms AI from a tool into a catalyst for meaningful change in higher education.

Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.
