The Team

In the Fidelity Institutional Technology group, the team is responsible for providing electronic trading solutions for Fidelity’s Capital Markets division. This is a hands-on role as an individual contributor and responsibilities include supporting both production and non-production environments by responding to alerts, troubleshooting of issues, and mitigating impact.

The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

  • 4+ years’ experience in Production Support, Systems Engineering or DevOps in cloud environment, preferably AWS

  • Experience in supporting production environments for applications built on Java, JavaScript, Angular, RDBMS in cloud environment

  • Experience with Production Support policies such as Incident Management and Change Management

  • Experience with monitoring systems such as CloudWatch, Datadog/Splunk, ELK stack

  • Previous exposure to trading systems or brokerage technology

  • Knowledge of Agile methodology

  • Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management Tools (e.g. Stash, Jenkins, Concourse Cloud Formation and Containers)

  • Knowledge of CI/CD automation tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, Concourse, Git, JIRA

  • Knowledge of databases and SQL (Structured Query Language)

  • AWS certification is a plus

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during Major or Minor incident call

The Value You Deliver

You will work closely with project management, systems analysts, and developers, helping to maintain stable production and non-production environments for a critical trading platform. You will help implement and validate production changes, ensuring accuracy and stability. You will help develop and document standards and guidelines for production support.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, where the only thing constant is change.

The base salary range for this position is $76,000-$144,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
