The Role
Does a design challenge bring you happiness? As part of our growing User Experience Design team, you will be instrumental in concepting and crafting outstanding user experiences for our family-focused web and mobile applications. You will achieve this by closely partnering with our business leaders and bringing their vision and ideas alive into relatable user experience designs in a fast-paced, iterative delivery sprints.
The Team
We are part of a new family-focused technology domain within Fidelity’s Wealth Management Technology business unit. From concept to launch, we strive to develop innovative suite of digital capabilities while employing modern technologies and crafting user experiences that delight. We design and implement digital solutions that promote and facilitate relational and emotional engagement among financial professionals, their clients, and families.
The Expertise You Have
Bachelor’s degree in information sciences, human-centered, interactive design, or other relevant field with 4+ years of UXD experience required
Experience in delivering user experience designs focusing on user journeys and interactions
Designing user experiences across varied communication channels including web, native iOS and Android, virtual/bot assistants etc.
Expertise in common design and prototyping tools such as FIGMA (preferred), Invision, Photoshop, Illustrator, Zeplin, etc.
An array of design skills, which might include visual, conversational, information architecture, prototyping, strategic design methods (such as design thinking), user research, or writing
A foundation of development knowledge across delivery channels
Familiarity with the value of design systems, understanding reuse and scale, and knowing when to contribute to make them better
Build and maintain appropriate interactive design deliverables like wireframes, prototypes, mockups, storyboards, and iterate upon multiple ideas
Partner closely with business and technology teams to find sophisticated yet practical solutions to design challenges
Apply varied human-focused design approaches to user needs, business objectives, and technical capabilities
Able to analyze data and draw insights to make design decisions, and open to learn and apply new methodologies
Have positive attitude and basic task management skills to stay organized, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
Work as an individual contributor as well as collaborate with a team of designers in agile sprint cycles

The base salary range for this position is $76,000-$144,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
