Job Description:

The Community Solution Education System is hiring a SharePoint Intern to join the Information Technology team. The SharePoint Intern will work alongside our SharePoint Administrator to support our Student Gateway website redesign. This internship is a fantastic opportunity to learn about Microsoft SharePoint and gain exposure to multiple versions of SharePoint.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of the Student Gateway website.
  • Support content migration, organization, and management within SharePoint.
  • Learn and apply SharePoint site customization techniques, including workflows, web parts, and page layouts.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and document functional specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic SharePoint issues under supervision.
  • Participate in testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Provide training materials or documentation for end-users as needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Basic understanding of Microsoft SharePoint (experience with SharePoint Online or SharePoint 2016/2019 is a plus).
    • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including OneDrive, Teams, and Power Automate.
    • Some experience or coursework in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or SharePoint Framework (SPFx) is beneficial.
    • Understanding of data organization, document libraries, and metadata management.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving:
    • Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into SharePoint solutions.
    • Strong attention to detail with a focus on usability and user experience.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to document processes and support users.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Education & Eligibility:

  • Junior or senior undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Prior coursework or internship experience in SharePoint or web development is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid position, requiring both in-office and remote work.
  • Candidates must be able to work on-site as needed at our designated office location.
