Job Description:
The Community Solution Education System is hiring a SharePoint Intern to join the Information Technology team. The SharePoint Intern will work alongside our SharePoint Administrator to support our Student Gateway website redesign. This internship is a fantastic opportunity to learn about Microsoft SharePoint and gain exposure to multiple versions of SharePoint.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of the Student Gateway website.
- Support content migration, organization, and management within SharePoint.
- Learn and apply SharePoint site customization techniques, including workflows, web parts, and page layouts.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and document functional specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic SharePoint issues under supervision.
- Participate in testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide training materials or documentation for end-users as needed.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of Microsoft SharePoint (experience with SharePoint Online or SharePoint 2016/2019 is a plus).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including OneDrive, Teams, and Power Automate.
- Some experience or coursework in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or SharePoint Framework (SPFx) is beneficial.
- Understanding of data organization, document libraries, and metadata management.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving:
- Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into SharePoint solutions.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on usability and user experience.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to document processes and support users.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Education & Eligibility:
- Junior or senior undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Prior coursework or internship experience in SharePoint or web development is a plus.
Work Environment:
- This is a hybrid position, requiring both in-office and remote work.
- Candidates must be able to work on-site as needed at our designated office location.
