Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer with a passion for building scalable and high-performance applications using .NET technologies and SQL Server. This role offers the opportunity to work with experienced engineers, gain hands-on development experience, and contribute to real-world projects in a collaborative, Agile environment. Essential Functions

  • Develop, test, and maintain web applications and APIs using C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core).
  • Design and optimize SQL Server databases, including writing and maintaining stored procedures, functions, and queries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and senior engineers, to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, follow best practices, and contribute to software architecture discussions.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in web applications and database systems.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and database structures.
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum development environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework, and object-oriented programming (OOP).
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, including writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database design principles.
  • Exposure to web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with source control systems like Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Bonus: Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and DevOps practices is a plus.

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)

  • Experience with GraphQL and API development.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience working with WebSockets or signalR for real-time applications.
  • Knowledge of unit and integration testing frameworks

Special Work Conditions

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The compensation range for this position is: $120,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year.
