Job Summary
The Specialist reports to the Manager of Healthcare Strategy and performs a variety of responsibilities related to healthcare-specific admissions, enrollment, and retention Columbus State Community College. The Specialist evaluates documents and executes processes which support the functions such as program admissions, course enrollment, and health record management. The Specialist may also be responsible for logistical support for events, calendars, and grant-related reporting.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Academic Document Processing
Processes documents and enters data related to program admissions and enrollment. Follows Federal and State regulations and College practices and guidelines, to ensure institutional compliance. Certifies student eligibility based on health records, background checks, and other pre-requisites determined by each academic discipline.
Calculates and correlates student admissions documentation for selective admissions programs based on faculty and accreditation standards.
Completes enrollment processes for students who are selected for healthcare-related program admission.
Clerical & Operational Support
Maintains records for grant-related reporting and assessment, as well as confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information.
Coordinates schedules and events for the Healthcare Strategy team. Provides support to the Manager and Project Manager(s) by attending meetings as needed to take minutes, record notes, and arrange technology.
Assists the Healthcare Strategy team by learning and handling Workday functions related to budget processing, travel processing, and other similar tasks.
Customer Service
Communicates with students and faculty regarding admissions, enrollment, and resources. Builds and fosters relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, such as Student Services, Academic Affairs, and other areas of the College.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
Attends all required department meetings and training.
Manages multiple assignments of varying complexity while meeting federal as well as internal regulations and procedures. Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing needs of the College and business partners.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. The employee regularly stands and walks for extended periods of time and occasionally sits. Employee converses verbally with others in person and by telephone. The employee occasionally reaches with hands or arms, climbs or balances, and stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision and distance vision. Employee occasionally lifts or exerts force of up to 10 pounds when moving materials.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical office environment. Regular exposure to moderate noise typical to business offices.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED.
Three (3) years of clerical experience, admissions, or student service role.
