Position Summary:

We’re putting together a Flutter team and looking for a senior level engineer to join on the ground floor. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the consumer automotive space through a data-driven experience developed in Flutter for Android and iOS, with the potential to expand to web and desktop. If you love Flutter development, have a passion for building mobile apps, know how to work cross-functionally, and know how to have fun with a team, come join us.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Design & implement Digital Marketplace mobile app in Flutter, targeting Android and iOS 

  • Create reusable and performant mobile components and frameworks 

  • Write clean, well-tested code within the Flutter/Dart ecosystem 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build customer-focused experiences 

  • Analyze and connect complex requirements / issues with proper solutions 

  • Stay up to date with best practices and implementations, including security and data privacy 

  • Support and help develop proper CI/CD pipelines, holding to an infrastructure-as-code, configuration-as-code, data-as code approach 

  • Help bridge internal development with external contractors and agencies when used 

  • Help hire mobile engineers while mentoring young engineers on good engineering practices and knowledge  

  • Help support production systems once the Digital Marketplace is live 

Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • 3+ years of experience building Flutter applications 

  • 6+ years of experience building mobile applications in general, ideally natively in Android and/or iOS 

  • High proficiency with Flutter & Dart 

  • Practical experience with Swift, Kotlin, Java, or C#. 

  • Proficient in modern coding practices (dependency injection, reactive programming, MVVM, design patterns) 

  • Experience with JavaScript, CSS, and Web API. 

  • Experience in automated CI/CD processes with quality gates for test coverage, static code analysis, and peer reviewed pull requests. 

  • Knowledge in cloud-based technologies from Amazon, Microsoft or Google, such as orchestration, microservices, containers, and notification services. 

  • Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work with team members and customers in a professional, friendly manner.
