Be part of our movement, let’s pursue excellence together.  SummaryThis role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement processes. Along with the daily functions, the position will place purchase orders and be tasked to find cost savings and improve efficiencies for the company with the aim of supply security, quality, better pricing, accuracy, process improvement and value.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets and follow up on any issues related to those orders.
  • Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply challenges which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers. Explore alternate sources for goods and materials.
  • Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible.
  • Deliver briefs, updates and reports when required.
  • Develop creative and innovative procurement processes.
  • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
  • Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities.
  • Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, SOX requirements, existing company policies and procedures.
  • Support product internal requests adding the required guidance, with a close interaction with Supply Operations and Manufacturing, and review and communicate the impact on capacity plans.
  • Attend meetings and update others on issues or concerns, in particular when there is a risk of supply which could prevent the organization meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concerns
  • Acquire and maintain a technical understanding of the industry and products purchased.
  • Work with Accounts Payable department and internal customers to ensure timelines of vendor payments and resolutions of problem PO's/invoices.
  • Other ad hoc analysis and projects as deemed appropriate.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
  • Interaction 
  • Work closely with the other business partners including accounting/finance team, manufacturing operations, supply operations, quality, R&D vendors, and consultants.
Education and Experience: 
  • 3 years of relevant experience required, preferably within the medical device industry
  • Proficiency in MRP systems required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field desirable

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multi-project and multi-product manufacturing industry
  • Excellent communication skills and work in a cross-functional environment
Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, move between spaces, reach with hands and arms, and stoop.  Close vision and the need to focus on the computer screen, use of hands, fingers, and wrist to type on keyboard and manipulate mouse. Will need to lift and move boxes of paper and binders weighing up to 20 pounds.Work Environment:Typical office setting, staff in cubicles, the noise level is moderate with consistent printer, telephone ringing, and conversation.  Employee is located in cubicle setting.Benefits:

The base pay range for this role in California is $80,000 per year to $110,000 per year. The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
