Qualifications:
NJ Supervisor Certificate OR NJ Principal Certification (Standard/CEAS)
AND NJ ELA or NJ Social Studies Certification  
Background in ELA or Social Studies 
Three years minimum experience in teaching, curriculum development, and school administration
Ability to analyze and interpret data to make school change 
Strong communicator, both written and verbal
Able to structure plan and deliver professional development 
Forward-thinking, collaborative, open-minded, reflective, and organized
Knowledge of NJSLS standards to support vertical and horizontal articulation in ELA and Social Studies  
Support social justice while approaching daily work through a lens centered in equity and achievement for all students
Up-to-date with current educational research and pedagogy
Operates from student centered perspective
All other duties as assigned by the Superintendent 


All alternate route candidates (“Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered. *In accordance with S-414/A-3188 (http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/S0500/414_R2.HTM), school districts, charter schools, nonpublic schools, and contracted service providers (“employers”) are required to review the last twenty years of employment history of prospective employees to ascertain allegations of child abuse or sexual misconduct. It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
