Overview
LMI is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Consultant to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. The successful candidate will focus on supporting the modernization of the Stock Control System (D035) and provide in-depth supply chain analysis and reporting. This role plays a key part in supporting program management, ensuring the readiness and efficiency of the supply chain for our defense client. Remote work may be permitted.

Responsibilities
- Client Engagement & Analysis: Support and collaborate with government organizations, including the Department of Defense (DoD), in analyzing and optimizing supply chains for inventory management, maintenance, and distribution.
- Consulting Services: Provide expertise in DoD logistics strategy and supply chain material management, emphasizing wholesale and retail-level inventory management, policy adherence, performance measurement, and analysis.
- Project Leadership: Lead and contribute to projects that evaluate and improve existing system-support supply chains at various levels, focusing on efficiency and cost-effectiveness in inventory management, distribution, and provisioning.
- Policy & Compliance Support: Assist DoD organizations in addressing audit findings and material weaknesses, ensuring compliance with standards for Inventory, Operating Materials & Supplies, and requisitioning processes.
- Innovative Solutions: Research and propose new approaches and alternatives to improve business practices and enhance decision-making processes within supply chain management.
- Documentation & Policy Maintenance: Provide both administrative and technical writing support for updating and maintaining supply chain policies, incorporating updates as needed based on GAO and IG audit recommendations.
- Program Management & Reporting: Perform data analysis, develop high-impact presentations, and provide research-based support for DoD leadership, aiding in the execution of logistics strategy and supply chain initiatives.
- Support for MRO-S as a Functional SME: Support MRO-S, Warehouse Management System (WMS), and PIEE as a functional SME by conducting system testing, troubleshooting issues, ensuring regulatory compliance, and analyzing post-implementation data to optimize performance.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or similar discipline and 10+ plus years’ work experience in DoD logistics and supply chain management. Additional years of experience can be substituted for the BA degree.
- Knowledge of commercially based advanced modeling, networking, scheduling and inventory optimization systems and techniques in order to support development of supply, inventory management, and distribution policy to improve materiel management of spare part inventories.
- Good quantitative and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written
- High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry
- Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment.
- Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
- Availability for occasional travel.
- This position requires an active security clearance. You must be a US citizen.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Master’s degree (Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred)
- Prior military or DoD civilian/contractor experience
- Ability to develop mathematical models and simulations of business operations.
- Working knowledge of D035 Stock Control System, MRO-S, DLA’s WMS, Mission Threads, CAV-AF, DLMS
Targeted Salary Range: $90,000 - $159,000
