The Software Development Engineer in Test will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks in support of a large, complex federal government solution. They work closely with software developers, QA engineers, and product owners to identify test requirements and create comprehensive test plans.

Preference will be given to candidates local to the DC Metro area. The projected compensation range for this position is $130K to $150K (annualized USD). The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability and other organizational requirements.

Required Skills
  • 6 years of relevant IT development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field
  • Hands-on experience with various testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing
  • Hands-on experience writing, executing, and analyzing/reporting results of automated tests in a Java, Oracle, AngularJS environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of of an agile team
  • Possess strong analytical and technical skills and is capable of assisting in various areas of business solutions implementation and integration.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the federal background investigation.
  • United States Citizenship


Desirable Skills
  • Experience with CI/CD and Testing tools, including JMeter, GitHub, Jenkins, JUnit, JaCoco, Selinium, Jasmine, and SmartBear
  • Experience with database environments and tools, including Oracle, PL/SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
  • Experience working in an AWS Cloud environment
  • Experience supporting federal government customers
  • Active federal government public trust clearance

Salary range

  • $130,000 - $150,000 per year
