The We’ll Buy Your Car Call Center Team Lead reports to WBYC Manager and is responsible for overseeing the WBYC process, providing support, establishing relations with customers, and motivating a team of WBYC Associates. The team’s role is to acquire additional inventory for multiple AutoNation dealership locations by receiving inbound leads and scheduling appointments.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Working directly with the WBYC Manager
  • Leading yourself and the team in a way that supports AutoNation’s Vision and Mission
  • Setting a clear vision and goals for the team to achieve targeted performance in vehicle purchases and profit
  • Engaging and motivating the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations and AutoNation best practice processes
  • Driving the business through a high-level of involvement in the day-to-day WBYC operations
  • Ensuring that e-leads are handled timely, answering questions, providing information, and ideally setting an appointment for a visit to a store
  • Manage the follow-up with e-leads to assist them as needed through their research phase until ready acquisition
  • Ensure Customers are transitioned effectively from leads to the drop off location
  • Managing the negotiation process with BDC Associates ensuring that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing
  • Analyzing the business to determine shortfalls and developing action plans to improve performance

What are the requirements for this job?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous management preferred but not required
  • Previous automotive industry experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience and desire to work with technology
  • Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record
