Job Summary

The University of Kentucky (UK) Department of Pediatrics is seeking a faculty provider to serve as the Vice Chair of Population Health and Strategy. In addition to fulfilling the responsibilities of a full-time faculty member, the Vice Chair of Population Health and Strategy will be a key member of the Chair’s administrative team, will use contemporary experience and leadership in population health, strategic planning, and change management to assist in achieving overall success. A comprehensive appreciation of healthcare trends will be essential. At the enterprise level, emerge as a valued spokesperson and partner in further defining and implementing the vision for improving the health of Kentucky’s children.
  • In addition, strengthen collaborations with partners both across the Department’s academic and clinical enterprise.
  • Work closely with Senior Clinical Administrators and Clinical Medical Directors to ensure strategic advancement for all of the Department’s patient care activities.
  • Engage and assist in optimizing the roll-out of the organizational strategic plan refresh.
  • Evaluate existing and develop new health equity quality metrics that inform how we deliver care to all children.
  • Partner with KCH CMO, Senior Ambulatory Director, and Vice Chair of Quality, Safety, and Value as well as other medical directors, to advance strategies to improve clinical care in the organization and develop an organization emphasis on population health.
  • Work closely with the KCH Affiliate Network Director to develop and grow our relationships across the state.
  • Mobilize resources already established and identify additional opportunities that optimize care for all Kentucky’s children, no matter where they live.
  • Foster relationships with state and local officials to advance the health of Kentucky’s children
