We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wine Club Financial Analyst to join our finance team, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Wine Club Analysis & Reporting. This role will play a key part in analyzing financial and operational data related to our wine club, identifying trends, and assisting with forecasting and planning to drive strategic decision-making. As part of our team, you will be responsible for generating and maintaining weekly and monthly financial reports, monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and helping optimize the financial performance of our wine club. You’ll work closely with finance, operations, and marketing teams to provide insights that support membership growth, bottle pickup trends, and invite and retention rates.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis within the subscription-based wine industry, develop skills in forecasting and reporting, and grow within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This position will be a part of the Finance team and is located at the Restaurant Support Center in Downers Grove, IL. What You'll Do:
  • Subscription Trend Analysis: Analyze membership data, bottle pickup patterns, and invite conversion rates to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Forecasting & Planning: Assist in creating financial models and projections to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management efforts for the wine club.
  • KPI Monitoring & Analysis: Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:
    • Membership growth and retention rates
    • Monthly subscription revenue and churn rate
    • Bottle pickup frequency
    • Invite conversion rate
    • Customer lifetime value (CLV) and acquisition costs
  • Financial & Operational Reporting: Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reports tracking wine club performance, revenue trends, and customer engagement metrics.
  • Variance Analysis: Compare actual financial performance against forecasts and budgets, identifying drivers of variance and providing actionable insights to improve results.
  • Data Management: Gather, consolidate, and analyze large datasets from various sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, automate manual tasks, and improve data visualization techniques to enhance decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, operations, and marketing teams to support strategic initiatives and drive wine club growth and profitability.
What You'll Need:
  • Must represent Cooper’s Hawk Values
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or a related field (experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry is a plus).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling), with experience in financial systems (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar) being a plus. Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Industry Interest: Passion for the restaurant and hospitality industry, with an understanding of key financial and operational metrics in the sector.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly organized with a strong focus on accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically, identify inefficiencies, and provide data-driven recommendations.
Compensation Range: Compensation range is $63,000-$75,000/year. The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. What You’ll Get:
