POSITION SUMMARY & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position will be responsible for leading the company’s Workers’ Compensation Program. The primary focus for this position includes oversight of a third-party administrator (TPA) and claim administration.
- Manage TPA claims handling.
- Establish and communicate TPA Service Standards.
- Oversight of workers’ compensation claims for consistency with established company policies and procedures.
- Manage workers’ compensation litigation budgets, evaluate adequacy of claim reserves, and advise on adjustments where necessary.
- Oversight of the Transitional Duty Return-to-Work Program.
- Relay information concerning significant claims to management.
- Participate in periodic claim file reviews and annual Stewardship meeting.
- Partner with insurance liaisons including the broker, carrier and legal team.
- Problem solving and creating solutions for operators.
- Fast and effective communication between operators, claim representatives, and internal partners.
- Assisting operators during an emergency as needed.
- Supervising a Workers’ Compensation Administrator.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, or equivalent experience
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience handling lost time and litigated workers’ compensation claims. Multi-jurisdictional experience is strongly preferred. Supervisory experience a plus.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, RMIS systems, and database platforms
