Job Summary
Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for the (Student Only) part-time position of Workforce Solutions Information Technology Intern. The student will assist in designing, developing, and implementing Microsoft Power Automate flows. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in workflow automation and business process improvement while working in a collaborative and supportive environment. Students must be enrolled in the Gateway CIT academic program.
The Federal Work Study program provides funding for part-time employment to qualifying students. If you have unmet financial need as determined by the most recent FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), are enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at Gateway and have a GPA of at least 2.0, you may be eligible for FWS. Job Duties:
- Design and Develop Flows:
- Create and customize Microsoft Power Automate flows to automate repetitive tasks and optimize business processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional workflows.
- Testing and Debugging:
- Perform testing of Power Automate flows to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing flows to improve functionality.

- Documentation:
- Document workflows, including user guides and process diagrams, to ensure easy understanding and usability by non-technical staff.
- Maintain detailed records of changes and updates to flows.

- Other departmental tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrolled in the Gateway CIT academic program
- Must be able to maintain an established work schedule
- Be able to use and learn technical skills to work effectively
- Able to follow directions, ask questions and complete assigned work
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
