Work closely with the Manager, Credit &amp; Collections and/or Director-Credit/Collections to document all legal correspondence and track the court activity and rulings.</li><li>Analyze activity of assigned accounts on a regular basis to identify incorrect transactions or account coding that result in service charges and bad debt write-offs.</li><li>Request financial statements annually and/or monthly from our top largest exposure accounts as well as marginal or defaulting accounts and enter the financial data to the Financial Analysis Spreadsheet or the </li><li>CAF's Scoring Report for review with the Manager, Credit &amp; Collections and/or Director-Credit/Collections. </li><li>Periodically interact with senior levels of McLane Foodservice's corporate management, and frequently interaction with Multi-levels of McLane Foodservice's field management.</li><li>Frequently communicate with external customers which requires diplomatic representation of McLane Foodservice's collection position.</li><li>Conduct monthly calculations to identify the largest delinquent accounts at the end of each fiscal period and address those accounts to ensure prompt resolution to positively impact DSO and cash flows. </li><li>Provide frequent and persistent attention to the reconciliation of unpaid, open AR items ensuring prompt resolution to maintain accounts free and clear of all open balances especially those reflecting &gt;60 days in arrears.</li><li>Perform preliminary discovery (type of account, terms, early pay discount programs, product/service being sold, billing via EDI, email, soft copy/hard copies of invoice, involve supply chain team or national accountsmanager/director) of all accounts to ensure the proper approach is taken resulting and producing required results to ensure terms compliance going forward and build solid customer rapports by meeting billing and AP reporting requirements</li><li>Annually investigate and research all open credit balances and resolve by processing refund checks back to closed accounts, allow active accounts to take open credits and/or escheat to state to reflect accurate delinquent balances.</li><li>Review aging reports and portfolio of accounts closely and group related accounts with common ownership to identify total exposure by owner(s). This would assist with ensuring that any entity showing financial distress does not negatively impact other companies owned and operated by same owner(s) allowing MFS to take the appropriate measures to curtail losses.</li><li>Assist customers streamline payable processes by suggesting ACH auto draft payment terms, alternate payment remit methods to ensure terms compliance, reduce DSO, improve cash flows, eliminate collection follow up.
