The Administrative pool position is a part-time position that will report to various departments on the campus. This is a pool position that is posted to keep a steady flow of applicants in que for interviews. ​The Administrative position is responsible for providing personal secretarial services such as office administrative duties from general to complex critical duties. May oversee, coordinate the flow, or check work of student workers. May operate a word processor, computer terminal, microcomputer, facsimile machine, copy machine, or memory typewriter. Tasks may include screening calls, managing calendars, making travel arrangements, planning meetings and events, maintaining files, preparing minutes of meetings, editing various documents; and, communicating with all levels of internal management and staff, students, community representatives and vendors.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Answers multi-line telephone, providing accurate and efficient information/assistance and/or appropriate referral on incoming calls.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Processes invoices and expense reports, including tracking departmental expenses.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Prepare presentations and draft correspondence, internal memorandums and email communication.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Coordinates the processing of consultant agreements with appropriate internal stakeholders.</li>
<li>Assists in planning and execution of department events.</li>
<li>Archives print and online news hits about the College.</li>
<li>Monitors community events calendars and activities.</li>
<li>Maintains efficient filing system. Works with other departments of the college to provide assistance.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Reads incoming mail and processes mail and other college forms for office staff; performs standard office duties as appropriate.</li>
<li>Composes routine and non-routine correspondence independently.</li>

Instructors provide quality instruction for student learning and maintain a positive learning environment in the class. The major emphasis for instructors is on teaching and evaluating students in the course. Classes are taught in a variety of formats and at several different locations, as well as online. Instructors also communicate with students between classes and are responsible for several administrative duties such as reporting on academic activity and submitting final grades.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi and departmental guidelines.
2. Beginning and ending all classes as scheduled and covering all relevant learning outcomes for each course.
3. Maintaining academic standards and classroom behavior to ensure an environment conducive to learning, communicating with students weekly, and answering student emails in a timely manner.&nbsp;
4. Evaluating students using a variety of methods and informing each student of scores received on each assessment in a timely manner.
5. Using Cleveland State email for administrative purposes and responding to student questions via Cleveland State email in a timely manner.&nbsp;
6. Meeting deadlines for all administrative requests such as submitting personnel paperwork, acknowledging contracts, academic activity and assessment reports, and final grades.&nbsp;

Bachelor's degree or higher in a qualifying field preferred. Associate degree in a qualifying field can be considered with two or more of the following: professional certifications, documentation of professional employment, teaching excellence awards, research or publications, and/or relevant additional coursework beyond Associate’s degree.
