<li>Teach all phases of the Health Information Management Technology Program including: customer service, business communications, medical insurance, electronic health records, medical coding and billing, medical terminology and basic anatomy.</li>
<li>Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress, maintain student records in the college’s student records management software, maintain appropriate documentation, and submit timely reports.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Maintain good public relations with related industry and an active advisory committee</li>
<li>Cooperate with outside agencies and supervise and follow-up on students participating in cooperative education.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Other duties include curriculum development, student recruitment, placement, follow-up of program graduates, participation in professional development activities, and participation in student organizations.&nbsp; Some travel is required.</li>

SALARY:&nbsp; Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.

PRACTICAL NURSING ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR (PART-TIME)
PARSONS EXTENSION CAMPUS
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the part-time position of Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor at the Parsons Extension Campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>Must hold active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee; BSN preferred.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Minimum three (3) years of experience in the nursing field within the last five (5) years.</li>
<li>Minimum three (3) years current clinical nursing experience</li>
<li>Teaching and/or supervisory experience preferred</li>
<li>Instructor must have sincere interest in teaching and nursing, enjoy working with people, and have the ability to deal tactfully with people</li>
<li>Instructor must have a high standard of personal and professional ethics and possess an understanding and appreciation of the role and scope of the school and program purpose&nbsp;</li>
<li>Online experience preferred for Hybrid Program</li>

GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp;
The adjunct practical nursing instructor, under the direction of the Coordinator of Nursing along with the PN faculty, shall be responsible for assisting in planning, developing, initiating and teaching the approved instructional program for practical nursing students in both the classroom and clinical setting.&nbsp; In addition, the adjunct practical nursing instructor shall maintain appropriate program and student records for documentation and evaluation; provide individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required; supervise students’ clinical experiences as scheduled; and maintain good public relations with clinical partners.&nbsp; &nbsp;The adjunct instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area.&nbsp; Some travel is required.
SALARY:&nbsp; $31.50 per hour/Commensurate with Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
