SUMMARY
The part-time&nbsp;Industrial Maintenance and Automation Instructor shall coordinate with the full-time program faculty and shall be directly responsible to the institution administration for effective performance of assigned responsibilities and duties. The instructor shall observe rules, policies, and regulations set forth by the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville (TCAT), Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), and the Council of Occupational Education (COE); and shall strive to promote and elevate the mission and philosophy of occupational education within the areas served. They shall keep abreast of industry standards and techniques, reviewing periodicals and industry magazines commensurate to the course being taught.&nbsp; The instructor shall follow and maintain a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignments, and instructional aides to meet educational requirements and industry standards. They shall also oversee student conduct, motivation, safety, discipline, and appearance, addressing issues as they arise.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

SUMMARY
The Industrial Maintenance and Automation Instructor shall be directly responsible to the institution administration for effective performance of assigned responsibilities and duties. The instructor shall observe rules, policies, and regulations set forth by the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville (TCAT), Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), and the Council of Occupational Education (COE); and shall strive to promote and elevate the mission and philosophy of occupational education within the areas served. They shall keep abreast of industry standards and techniques by visiting industry partners, continuing education, and reviewing periodicals and industrial magazines commensurate to the course being taught.&nbsp; The instructor shall develop and maintain a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignments, and instructional aides to meet educational requirements and industry standards. They shall also oversee student conduct, motivation, safety, discipline, and appearance, addressing issues as they arise. The instructor shall build and cultivate partnering relationships with schools, business, and industry partners to promote the ideals of occupational education and implement an effective placement program for students.&nbsp;
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

<li>High school graduate or the equivalent as determined by the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET).</li>
<li>3+ years of approved work experience in the occupation to be taught.</li>

RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience in supervising other clinicians and serving in a leadership capacity is essential for this position. Required License/Registration/Certification Current licensure (Ph.D. or LPP, ), or eligibility to obtain independent licensure and/or industry-standard board certification in the field of psychological testing, psychotherapy or related services to practice in the state of Kentucky. Job Summary The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking to fill an Assistant Professor faculty position to primarily provide psychological testing to patients in an ambulatory setting with the potential to also provide psychotherapy services. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence in clinical care providing psychological testing services and psychotherapy to adults or children and adolescents. Chandler Hospital – Lexington, KY, Good Samaritan Hospital – Lexington, KY, Eastern State Hospital – Lexington, KY as well as various other clinics and departments throughout the UK HealthCare system and outside organizations throughout Kentucky. Our team of researchers are working to advance the understanding of behavioral health and how behavioral health conditions are managed and treated. Our department has five ACGME-certified residency training programs which focus on training more than 50 physicians each year to become the future leaders in psychiatry. No Preferred Education/Experience Master’s degree plus 5 years of experience required and terminal degree preferred such as Ph.D. is Psychology Evidence of high level of clinical and training/teaching competence in psychological testing and psychotherapy. Previous experience in providing psychiatric services such as psychological testing and/or psychotherapy, and serving as a clinician educator is preferred. Demonstrated ability in teaching students at all levels in an academic environment at the graduate or post graduate level.
