This position is expected to primarily teach BIO-185, a one-semester Anatomy and Physiology course for students intending to pursue careers in health sciences. It is expected that the instructor will also be able to teach general education biology courses such as BIO-100 (Introductory Human Biology), BIO-103 (Introductory Life Science), and BIO-104 (Introductory Life Science Laboratory). Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Additional related duties may be assigned.&nbsp; 1. Plan course content and assign appropriate course work.&nbsp; 2. Select appropriate texts and teaching materials.&nbsp; 3. Revise course outlines, objectives, and catalog information as needed.&nbsp; 4. Meet classes at assigned times.&nbsp; 5. Instruct students in the proper use of lab equipment where appropriate.&nbsp; 6. See that equipment and/or labs are properly maintained where appropriate.&nbsp; 7. Maintain supply and equipment inventory where appropriate.&nbsp; 8. Participate in assessment of student learning.&nbsp; 9. Maintain student records, evaluate student progress and assign grades.&nbsp; 10. Maintain office hours convenient for students.&nbsp; 11. Prepare course/class reports as required.&nbsp; 12. Attendance and participation in conferences related to teaching area and membership in appropriate professional organizations is recommended.&nbsp; 19.
