<br><h4>Overview</h4><p>LMI is seeking a skilled <strong>RFID Field Engineer and subject matter expert in Bremerton, WA</strong> to support activities related to shipyard modernization as part of enterprise-wide U.S. Navy strategic modernization and improvement efforts. LMI is helping NAVSUP, NAVSEA, and the shipyards use technology to track materiel through the shipyards to address long-standing problems. LMI advances the pace of progress, enabling our customers to thrive while adapting to evolving mission needs. <strong><em>Come join the organization consistently ranked as a top workplace!</em></strong></p><h4>Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Oversee the workflow and workforce, giving directions and recommendations when necessary. </li><li>Develop strategies and plans to improve the site’s efficiency, produce progress reports, and coordinate with other workers. </li><li>Provides on-site passive Radio Frequency Identification (pRFID) technical expertise and support to oversee the successful operations of electronics, devices, and other system-of-systems components.</li><li>Perform research, design, develop, or test electronic components and systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use employing knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties. </li><li>Design electronic circuits and components for use in fields such as telecommunications or instruments and controls. </li><li>Oversees the efforts of installation staff and is responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. </li><li>Recommend and implement hardware, infrastructure, and installation configurations based on facility features and constraints.</li><li>Develop and analyze communications protocol requirements given dynamic bandwidth, latency, frequency, proximity, and payload requirements.</li><li>Support development of new wireless communications protocols to enhance logistics processes.</li><li>Analyze and troubleshoot systems and components, including identifying and mitigating sources of interference and noise.</li><li>Use RF engineering tools and techniques to optimize system performance.</li><li>Provide engineering support, optimization recommendations, and troubleshooting for fielded products and infrastructure.</li><li>Develop and implement test and qualification procedures for wireless communication and data collection systems.</li></ul><h4>Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Masters degree preferred.</li><li>10 years of Electronics or Electrical Engineer experience and field support.</li><li>Understands IOT, RFID, and network engineering.</li><li>Understands deployment considerations and facilities nuances. </li><li>Knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment.</li><li>Professional and detail-oriented work ethic.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Exceptional troubleshooting skills.</li><li><strong>Active Secret clearance preferred; only candidates eligible for a Secret level clearance will be considered (US Citizenship required).</strong></li></ul><h4><br>LMI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
