JOB SUMMARY The Process Engineer is responsible for development and implementation of product into the manufacturing operation to meet production requirements and quoted cost.&nbsp; This includes process/method definition, development, and ownership with major emphasis on operations support. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Troubleshoot operations including but not limited to fixturing/clamping issues, program and/or parameter issues and expendable tooling issues until problem is resolved. Design fixturing using the fixture maintenance program or any other mistake proofing method to increase yields on high scrap operations/programs to support scrap reduction initiatives and reduce human error. Time study jobs to balance and define operator standard work.&nbsp; Generate standard work charts and process capacity table and compare actual performance to quoted estimates in current cost models. Reporting to the Predictive Analytics Team Director of Data Integration and Data Quality, the Principal Data Engineer will:<ul><li>Contribute advanced expertise to the team in the areas of data integration, data quality, data operations, data platform architecture, and data governance.</li><li>This role will contribute to the development and operation of a modern analytical data store which supports the entire student journey while focusing on marketing, retention, placement, tuition, scholarships, graduation rates, student learning, student engagement, and other relevant academic success factors to be used for decision making related to enhancing student outcomes and academic excellence.<ul><li>The analytical data store contains both granular structured/unstructured data as well as aggregated data elements to ensure optimal flexibility to support a variety of analytical use cases.</li></ul></li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Contributes advanced data integration, data quality, data operations, data platform architecture, and data governance expertise to the Analytical Data Store.</li><li>Maintains regular and timely attendance, reports to work as scheduled and assures time worked and/or time-off is recorded properly.</li><li>Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the University's Code of Ethical Conduct, Compliance Agreement, Sexual Harassment Policy or any of its policies and procedures, applicable federal and states laws, and applicable professional standards.</li><li>Maintains confidentiality of all students, associates, and/or university information as required.</li><li>Exercises care, proper use and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Identifies unsafe conditions and makes appropriate adjustments.</li><li>Maintains order, cleanliness, and safety at work.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Required Experience &amp; Skills<ul><li>Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by advanced understanding and applications of data integration data warehousing, cloud computing, and data engineering is required;&nbsp;Graduate study in computer science, information systems, economics, mathematics, statistics, or engineering is highly desired.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of working experience in data integration data warehousing, cloud computing, and data engineering, or a combination thereof, and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in data-related requirements, design, development, and deployment efforts required.</li><li>Expert working knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services.</li><li>Expert working knowledge in SQL/Transact-SQL.</li><li>Expert working knowledge in data warehouse design and data lake concepts.</li><li>Expert working knowledge of extract, transform, and load processes.</li><li>Experience with the following technologies is preferred:<ul><li>Azure Data Factory</li><li>Azure Data Lake Storage</li><li>Azure Databricks</li><li>Azure Event Hubs</li><li>Delta Lake</li><li>Microsoft Power BI</li><li>Python</li><li>SAS</li></ul></li><li>Loves working with data, including data integration, data quality, databases, and data analytics.</li><li>Mastered the art of meeting deadlines while working at a fast pace under stress and pressure.</li><li>Enormously cautious about protecting the privacy and security of data.</li><li>Driven to automate as many repetitive and tedious tasks as possible.</li><li>Strong in working well with others and minimizing conflicts when differences of opinion do exist.</li><li>Obsessed with quality, details, and achieving error-free results as often as possible.</li><li>Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule.</li><li>Ability to travel occasionally, when needed.</li><li>This is a hybrid position where you will work in our administrative office in Irvine 3 days/week and from your home office 2 days/week.</li></ul>Compensation - Texas:<ul><li>$117,865.99 - $170,910.99</li><li>Annual Bonus&nbsp;</li><li>Great Benefits Package</li></ul>#LI-CM1Do you want a career that allows you to make a difference in other people’s lives?
