Job Summary / General Purpose:The Terminal Manager provides overall management for the safe and efficient operation of two of our terminals, located in South Portland and Portland, Maine. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local and Sprague requirements. The Terminal Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of both terminals, ensuring efficient and safe handling of petroleum, bulk and other third-party cargoes. This role involves maintaining proper staffing levels, implementing aggressive safety and environmental compliance efforts, and ensuring that all products are handled correctly. The Terminal Manager will provide daily guidance and leadership to assigned personnel, focusing on employee training and development to foster a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. In addition to operational oversight, the Terminal Manager will develop, present, and implement plans for capital upgrade programs, process efficiency improvements, and terminal utilization enhancements. This includes creating clear and concise programs for personnel development, salary and wage administration, and expense budget control. The Terminal Manager will also support customer service initiatives and collaborate with other departments and Sprague Marketing Directors to meet company objectives.
