Assistant Professor of Instruction in Dance The Department of Theatre and Dance at The University of Texas at El Paso invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, renewable position of Assistant Professor of Instruction in Dance, beginning Fall 2025. The department is interested in a dynamic dance practitioner qualified to teach undergraduates different dance styles and forms and choreograph annual dance shows. As an Assistant Professor of Instruction, the selected candidate is expected to mentor students, and to be an active member of the department, serving in committees and collaborating with other units at the University, especially during special events. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: <ul><li>Teaching a variety of dance classes from introductory to advanced levels, in the areas of contemporary and modern dance, Latine and/or Africana forms, dance pedagogy, critical dance studies, choreography and composition.</li><li>Teaching up to 4 classes per semester.</li><li>Mentoring students in academic, creative, and career planning.</li><li>Demonstrating excellence in teaching and advancing pedagogical standards.</li><li>Collaborating with all design and technical areas in the process of choreographing and organizing productions.</li><li>Contributing to the values, vision, and mission of the Dance Program, the Department of Theatre and Dance, and the University as a whole.</li><li>Performing service duties including student recruitment, curricular assessment and revision, season selection, departmental representation, etc.</li></ul> Job Requirements:<ul><li>MFA or PhD in Dance or in a related field with extensive dance focus.</li><li>Minimum three years of teaching in the field of dance in Higher Education.</li><li>Documented professional experience as a choreographer and performer.</li></ul> PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: <ul><li>Experience in curriculum development.</li><li>Experience in recruitment, serving on committees, and contributing to departmental service in Higher Education.</li></ul> Additional Information: Salary: $50,000-$56,000 for a nine-month appointment, dependent on qualifications and experience. Assistant/Associate Professor of Musical Theatre with Emphasis in Voice The Department of Theatre and Dance at The University of Texas at El Paso invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Musical Theatre with an emphasis in Voice. We seek a qualified educator with experience at the college level who is committed to cultivating the next generation of theatre professionals, teachers, and leaders while serving UTEP's dynamic student population and contributing to a framework of access and excellence. The successful candidate will contribute to UTEP's status as an R1 institution by having a robust agenda for research, grant writing, and/or ongoing relevant creative and professional work in the industry. The candidate will direct/serve as Music Director for season musicals and teach and develop a variety of musical theatre classes from introductory to advanced levels including individual voice lessons. Other duties include professional, university, college and departmental service and fostering collegial, professional, and community collaborations. Professional training in musical theater performance and/or directing musicals is highly desirable. Assistant/Associate Professor of Musical Theatre with Emphasis in Voice

Research Assistant Professor in College of Health Sciences (Two Positions) The University of Texas at El Paso seeks a highly qualified Research Assistant Professor to join its College of Health Sciences (CHS). The faculty member will have the opportunity to be appointed in the Department(s) of Kinesiology, Public Health Sciences, or Social Work depending on the candidate's background and preference. In this role, the faculty member will collaborate with current researchers in diabetes and metabolic diseases, leading initiatives addressing health inequities. Institutional funding will support the position for up to three years, with the expectation that external funding is secured by the fourth year to sustain their salary and research program. The faculty member will be expected to collaborate closely with existing researchers within CHS who conduct multicultural and binational research. We are looking for a candidate to leverage their expertise to elevate the research portfolio of the college. This will involve working with interdisciplinary teams, harnessing partnerships with community stakeholders, and pursuing external funding opportunities. By leveraging the collective knowledge and resources within CHS, the faculty member will drive innovation and excellence in research, ultimately advancing our understanding of diabetes and metabolic disorders and their practical applications for improving health outcomes in underserved communities.
