Job Summary Registered Nurses in the Adult Progressive Care Unit on 6th Floor at UK Chandler Hospital provide care for adult patients who are moderately stable, have complex needs and require comprehensive care. Patient care will include frequent assessment of pulmonary, renal, cardiac, vascular and neurological conditions. The Adult Progressive Care Unit provides a more intensive level of care and monitoring than telemetry and medical/surgical units. As a part of this unit, the RN serves as an important component of the interdisciplinary progressive care team. This team is responsible for closely monitoring the patient’s physiologic condition, performing frequent treatments as ordered by the physician, and providing a safe transition from intensive care to acute care.
