<h4>Overview</h4>LMI currently has an opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist to support an Intelligence Community customer in the McLean area. The ideal candidate will identify opportunities for AI/ML and develop AI/ML models for intelligence analysis. This role involves researching, strategizing, developing, and deploying AI/ML models to enhance intelligence capabilities, streamline workflows, and support decision-making. Key responsibilities include: &nbsp;<ul><li>Identify opportunities for AI/ML integration to enhance intelligence analysis and workflows. </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and identify potential AI/ML solutions. </li><li>Design and implement scalable AI/ML models for tasks such as information retrieval, natural language processing, predictive analytics, and automation.</li><li>Source and process large datasets from diverse sources.</li><li>Deploy AI/ML models into production environments and integrate with existing systems.</li><li>Monitor model performance and retrain models as needed.</li><li>Research and explore new AI/ML methodologies.</li><li>Work closely with intelligence analysts and other cross-functional teams to source requirements and implement AI/ML solutions effectively.</li></ul><h4>Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, with a focus on AI/ML.</li><li>Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.</li><li>Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).</li><li>Strong understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.</li><li>Proven track record of developing and deploying AI/ML models in a professional setting.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex issues.</li><li>Strong ability to analyze and interpret large datasets.</li><li>Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.</li><li>Experience in the intelligence or defense sector is highly desirable.</li><li>TS/SCI with polygraph is required.</li></ul>#LI-SH1<h4> LMI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
