Identifies community partners, providers and agencies and develops relationships to further public health efforts in the community. &nbsp;JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Hires, supervises, and evaluates clinical and clerical staff.<ul><li>Ensures required orientation and ongoing training requirements are met.&nbsp;</li><li>Provides educational opportunities that enhance staff skills and knowledge.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversees the provision of training for health profession students from local colleges and universities.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures staff follow programmatic guidelines and regulations for all programs.&nbsp;</li><li>Creates a climate of respect, teamwork, and inclusion.</li></ul>Plans, implements, and manages County Health Department programs and clinical services based on community health needs.<ul><li>Uses community health, population and epidemiologic data, the Community Health Improvement Plan and District Strategic plan to develop a strategic plan for county programs and services.</li><li>Participates in community organizations and develops partnerships to advance the services and programs of the Health Department.&nbsp;</li><li>Compiles and submits data and reports on a monthly basis and upon request by the district or state.&nbsp;</li><li>Participates in the development and revision of guidelines, policies, and procedures.&nbsp;</li></ul>Ensures safe, quality services through Q/A and Q/I processes. &nbsp;<ul><li>Oversees implementation of customer satisfaction surveys and responds to complaints.</li><li>Participates in QI projects.</li><li>Oversees auditing and chart review processes.&nbsp;</li></ul>Plans and monitors county health budgets in partnership with the lead business clerk and the District Business Office. &nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Evaluates supply, equipment, medical and facility needs and plans resources accordingly.&nbsp;</li></ul>Organizes, coordinates, and implements community health outreach including marketing services and public health education to increase community awareness of services and programs.<ul><li>Plans and implements community education outreach activities including but not limited to health fairs and presentations to community groups.</li></ul>Provides direct patient care services as an expanded role nurse.<ul><li>Demonstrates knowledge of and exercises good judgment in the execution of patient care protocols.</li><li>Orders appropriate lab work, pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments and administers medications and vaccines in accordance with protocol.</li><li>Provides patient education and makes appropriate referrals.</li><li>Documents care in a thorough, appropriate manner in the EMR.</li></ul>Establishes and maintains internal and external partnerships and serves as the local public health contact for community agencies.<ul><li>Participates in Nurse Manager meetings and contributes to District program goals and objectives.&nbsp;</li><li>Briefs the Board of Health on clinic operations and facilitates communication between the District and BOH.</li></ul>Oversees and participates in emergency preparedness efforts in partnership with District and local agencies and stakeholders.<ul><li>Participates in emergency preparedness planning and response activities.</li></ul>Oversees the safety and esthetics of the Health Department facility<ul><li>Communicates facility needs (including but not limited to painting, landscape, and repairs) to the BOH and appropriate county authority.</li><li>Ensures fire safety requirements are met including maintenance of fire extinguishers, operation of lighted exit signs and placement of room evacuation maps.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures sharps containers and other housekeeping procedures are adhered to according to the policy on precautions and management of exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens.</li></ul>Participates in District projects and committees upon request.<dt><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4></dt>Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND Two years of PHN experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification&nbsp; OR&nbsp; Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND Three years of nursing experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. <h4>How you'll change lives</h4>As a Registered Nurse (RN) at US Renal Care, you'll be an integral part of a cross-functional team, working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse and assisting and supervising Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to care for patients living with kidney disease.<h4>What you'll be doing</h4>Patient care. You'll work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment.
