The supervisor will coordinate training, enforce safety guidelines, and interface with other departments in support of production.Position will work a fixed 28-day rotational cycle in which each employee works in 12-hour shifts.Your Day to Day:<ul><li>Supervise, train, and provide direction to production team</li><li>Plan and schedule the utilization of equipment and maintain maximum productivity levels</li><li>Investigate root causes/issues that are related to scrap, process excursions, quality complaints and/or fire investigations</li><li>Ensure production team understands/complies with established operating systems in safety, environmental, quality and process controls and the company's overall policies</li><li>Utilize key operating indicators for control of product cost, material usage, machine downtime, expenditure control and other shift functions</li><li>Accurately submit hours worked to payroll for all production employees in a timely manner</li><li>Transmit production performance statistics/concerns to Production Shift Leaders, Maintenance, and Superintendent and make recommendations for improvement</li><li>Prepare labor, material and equipment usage reports</li><li>May be required to perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul>What You Bring to the Team: <ul><li>High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of production processes</li><li>Strong aptitude for learning and understanding company policies</li><li>Solid understanding of OSHA regulations</li><li>Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook</li><li>Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems</li><li>Strong leadership skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment</li><li>Manages a staff of 25-30 hourly union employees, sets direction and deploys resources.
