This includes working collaboratively to meet the immediate needs of victims &amp; provide ongoing emotional support.</li><li>Assist in providing victims with Victim Rights information, Crime Victims Compensation applications, VISOR notification, Parole Board notification, Restitution notification and Sex Offender Notification.</li><li>Support the program's volunteer advocates through training and mentoring.</li><li>Work collaboratively with others in the DA's Office to establish a Bias Crimes MDT. Provide presentations and/or participate in trainings and collaborative meetings with other professionals, schools and local civic organizations, as requested by the Program Director. Enhance the community knowledge of bias crimes the legal system. May involve exposure to victims who are in crisis as a result of emotional and/or physical trauma.<h2>WORK SCHEDULE</h2>This position is&nbsp;grant funded through the&nbsp;BJA FY23 Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Program grant. Continued employment is contingent upon ongoing grant funding.&nbsp;This position is included in the County’s alternate workweek program, working 40&nbsp;hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Thursday (Fridays off).&nbsp; Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended.&nbsp;Please Note: This position is designated as on-site/in-person.
