POSITION SUMMARY
&nbsp;
A Child Care Program Coordinator (CCPC) will collaborate with other campus departments to advertise the overall program including additional toddler capacity. This person will be responsible for monthly billing, lesson plans and activities for each age group, and oversee the new toddler room program staff, as well as filling in as needed in the classrooms. This position will serve as a student parent liaison in assisting with the needs of childcare and serves available to them; serve as the Center’s administrator in the absence of the director and assistant director.

Fiscal Stewardship
&nbsp;
• Child Care Program Coordinator ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as policies and reporting requirements related to the areas of the Child Development Center to help minimize any financial costs.
• Child Care Program Coordinator serves as part of the benefit to the College student and employee in terms of enhancing growth in student enrollment and employee productivity.

Holistic Student Support
&nbsp;
• Child Care Program Coordinator creates an inviting, safe, and educational environment for children 6 weeks -5 years. The center provides care for the children of the college’s students as well as faculty and staff. The CCPC will establish a welcoming/educational environment for college student parents which allows them to increase the awareness of student support.

Teaching Excellence and Program Innovation
&nbsp;
• Child Care Program Coordinator leads and guides college students in High Impact practices with practicum service learning through analyzing and developing classrooms, which align with the Colleges mission and values, and Tennessee Department of Human Services Child Care Licensing rules.
Organizational Culture and Inclusive Practices.
• Child Care Program Coordinator’s role is to help children and student parents value cultural, racial and socioeconomic diversity well as gender differences and special needs in family backgrounds.
• Child Care Program Coordinator embraces and promotes the college’s goals related to diversity, equity, and inclusion by leading the center to utilize best practices to provide equity-minded services for college students and their children.

QUALIFICATIONS
&nbsp;
• Required BS Degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology or related field.
• CPR and First Aid Certification within six months of employment date
• 3 years’ experience in Early Childhood Education and 1 year in a licensed childcare facility.
&nbsp;
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND WORK CHARACTERISTICS
&nbsp;
• Ability to use instructional methods, materials, and program development; psychological and biological needs of children; licensing&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;requirements; administrative/ managerial concepts and practices related to the operation of childcare systems; computer literacy.
• Ability to use oral and written communication consistent with providing instruction to children and adults and conducting parent&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;conferences; organization and problem-solving skills; interpersonal skills consistent with observing and conducting multiple simultaneous activities and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
• Ability to evaluate situations (routine and/or crisis) and make decisions using sound judgment; to perform physical requirements associated with the supervision of young children; to maintain confidentiality; to handle multiple, simultaneous work demands; to maintain flexibility and be able to adapt to change; to work with others in a collaborative effort.

DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
&nbsp;
• Develop and implement age-appropriate learning and developmental activities; organize visual aids to create interesting and attractive&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;learning environments.
• Perform routine cleaning duties to provide a safe and healthy environment; assist children with personal needs and hygiene
• Supervise college students in Early Childhood Education Practicum
• Maintain attendance and evaluation records for children and parents participating in the CCAMPIS grant
• Promote, support, and participate in student recruitment and retention efforts
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
