In this entry-level management position, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operations of our Dairy and Frozen Foods department, balancing hands-on customer interaction with strategic planning and execution. In this role, your responsibilities will include: <ul><li> Developing and implementing in-store specials, merchandising strategies, and display programs to drive sales and enhance profitability </li><li> Collaborating with vendors and sales representatives to optimize our product offerings and introduce new items </li><li> Maintaining an efficient inventory of products, with a keen focus on quality and pricing, to ensure our shelves are consistently stocked </li><li> Curate visually appealing and well-stocked display cases, meeting the high expectations of both Dierbergs and our customers. </li></ul> Qualifications for Success: <ul><li> Demonstrated knowledge and experience in retail operations, with a preference for candidates familiar with the grocery industry, or inventory management </li><li> Hold a high school diploma or equivalent qualification </li><li> Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the capacity to stock shelves efficiently, and work in temperature-controlled environments. </li><li> Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work area, utilizing company-approved equipment and adhering to established protocols. </li><li> Strong attention to detail, business acumen, and the ability to execute tasks with precision and dependability. </li><li> Effective organizational skills, with the capacity to strategically plan both short- and long-term goals, ultimately driving tangible results. </li><li> Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varying shifts - enjoy a balanced schedule with no late nights, most dairy and frozen department shifts end by 6 pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance </li></ul> Physical Requirements: <ul><li> Ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs. occasionally and up to 20 lbs. frequently </li><li> Ability to push and pull up to 90 lbs. of force occasionally </li><li> Ability to stock an average of 60 cases per hour and work in varied temperature-controlled environments </li><li> Ability to keep the work area safe and clean using company-approved equipment </li><li>Strong attention to detail, business acumen, follow-through and dependability</li><li>Ability to organize work, strategically plan short- and long-term goals and focus on results</li><li> Occasional: Sitting and climbing; frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, and handling </li><li>Frequent: Head turn, trunk bend, side reach, grasp, power grip, pinch, finger manipulation, &amp; feel</li><li> Constant - Stand, handling, &amp; forward reach </li></ul> Why Dierbergs is Different: <ul><li> Our culture makes us unique.
