SUMMARY The maintenance helper will assist maintenance mechanics in repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems of industrial establishment by performing the following duties. Our state-of-the-art investment casting facility in La Porte, Indiana is seeking a Process Engineer- Post Cast Process Owner to join our team.&nbsp;Nestled halfway between South Bend and Chicago, along the shores of Lake Michigan - our facility in La Porte, Indiana supplies jet engine components to some of the most trusted names in the Aerospace industry. This position is responsible for ensuring that the Post Cast processes (e.g., mold knock-out, abrasive cutting, rough finishing, sand blasting, etc.) are performed in compliance with the methods, materials, and equipment specifications as detailed in the business unit process manual and/or plant-specific requirements in addition to any applicable customer requirements. The Process Owner is accountable for process improvement, control and standardization in the assigned area and works closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and other stakeholders. This role will also serve as surge capacity or as a backup for the other Process Owner disciplines (e.g., Wax, Monoshell, Casting, etc.), as needed. As such, cross training in each of these disciplines will be included. Initiates or recommends actions to correct deviations and variables affecting schedules, costs, quality, and other factors.</li><li>Prepares and analyzes documentation as required (i.e. production reports, log sheets, etc).</li><li>Reviews work procedures for safety regulations and concerns.</li><li>Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.</li><li>Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.</li><li>Performs audits for safety compliance; facilitates the 6S audit program.</li><li>Assists with budget and goal setting of the operation.</li><li>Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.</li><li>Performs other duties, as assigned.</li></ul> Basic Qualifications: <ul><li>High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution</li><li>Minimum of 3 years&nbsp;leadership experience.</li><li>Successfully meet the Supervisor Assessment requirements.&nbsp; If applicant has 5 years or greater direct manufacturing leadership experience, testing is not required.</li><li>Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.&nbsp; Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.&nbsp; Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.</li><li>This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Experience supervising in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Experience with TPM, Synchronous Mfg., and Kaizen Concepts.</li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, have good team building skills, excellent people skills;
