DIRECT SUPERVISON FROM: VP of Academics and Compliance
SUMMARY
The instructor will be responsible for the effective performance of assigned responsibilities and duties. Lesson plans, assignments, and instructions will be provided and used as a guideline to lead student activities. The instructor will oversee student conduct, safety, discipline, and appearance, addressing issues as they arise with the VP of Academics and Compliance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

<li>High school graduate or the equivalent as determined by the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET).</li>
<li>3+ years approved work experience in the occupation to be taught.</li>
<li>Ability to effectively utilize email and basic computer software. (Microsoft Office)</li>

Job Duties

Under the supervision of the Program Director and/or Lead Faculty, Adjunct Instructors have as their chief duty the instruction of assigned classes, providing quality instruction for student learning and maintaining a positive learning environment in the classroom. Classes are taught in a variety of formats (virtual, online, hybrid, on-ground). Responsibilities for Adjunct Instructors include conducting classes using appropriate instructional practices, maintain records of attendance, evaluate student performance on assignments or lab activities, assign midterm grades, assign final grades, utilize faculty feedback, complete mandatory training as needed, and perform other duties as assigned. The Division of Scientific Services provides forensic support to local, state and federal agencies throughout Connecticut. This division is divided into three analytical sections. They are the Chemical Analysis section (including toxicology, controlled substances, and chemistry), the Forensic Biology/DNA section, and the Identification section (including computer crimes).
