Job Description

Join our team in McPherson, Kansas, on-site at our refinery customer.

Our Account Management Team is dedicated to innovation and sustainability, working closely with customers to develop advanced equipment and chemical treatment solutions across various industries. Our team members are not just managing sales; they are technical advisors who understand customer needs, enhance energy and water efficiency, and optimize profitability while conserving natural resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a consultant and advisor, applying technologies to address diverse water and process treatment needs while adhering to safety and environmental practices.
  • Be proactive in the field, working with equipment and chemicals, and implementing predictive analytics to prevent issues before they arise.
  • Collaborate across teams to drive account growth and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Participate in daily operational meetings to share best practices and solutions.
  • Celebrate success with our Proof Not Promises awards, recognizing significant environmental and operational improvements.
  • Safety is paramount! You'll need to learn and apply all safety and environmental practices.

Qualifications

Core Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical), Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Technology, preferred. Minimum 10+ years of direct experience in the field and water treatment industry will also qualify, high school education is required.
  • 5+ years of refining experience in either an engineering (process engineering, unit engineering, etc.) or technical sales role.
  • A full valid driver's license and willingness to travel (a learner's permit or G1/G2 class will not qualify).

Other Useful Skills & Abilities:
  • Work frequently in a heavy industrial environment requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment and having exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and other similar irritants typical of those found in refineries, chemical plants, power plants, etc.
  • To the extent that you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a company owned / leased or rented vehicle for company business, you must have a valid driver's license and be willing to submit to a check of your driving record.
  • Experience in direct sales, customer service, account management, or industry operations is a plus!
  • Good communication and technical (computer) skills will come in handy.
