Position Summary
The Accountant in the Comptroller's Office is responsible for performing routine and complex accounting and analytical work requiring professional knowledge of the theory and practice of recording, classifying, examining, analyzing accounting records and financial transactions, and generating and monitoring financial reports. The Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager for Professional Schools.
This on-campus position will work at the Broadway main campus location. After six months of successful employment, position is eligible for remote work one day per week.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills.
- Knowledge of theories, principles, and practices of accounting.
- Skill in utilizing a personal computer and associated software programs.
- Skill in operating a calculator and/or a ten key adding machine.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate accounting problems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to apply accounting principles and practices to non-profit accounting.
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial documents and reports.
- Ability to prepare a variety of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and use rational judgment in making work-related decisions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, management, community, and general public.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education
Bachelors Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
Required Work Experience
Two (2) years of accounting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of accounting experience in a non-profit setting.
- Master of Business Administration.
- Programming of systems experience.

Work Hours
Mon through Fri 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed to meet departmental goals.
