This position supports process automation across the Accounting Department and systems. This includes partnering across various Accounting teams, as well as the IT Corporate Systems team, to develop new automations and address any maintenance and/or troubleshooting needed to support the end users.
Responsibilities
- Configuration, administration, and maintenance of accounting automation processes
- Diagnose problems and provide solutions for our team’s current automation solutions
- Champion continuous process improvement by anticipating business needs, seeking feedback from end users, and leveraging large and small scale automations in day-to-day work
- Analyze current processes to design the future automated process, develop the automation strategy and implement new automations, ensuring process narratives and key controls reflect changes
- Serve as Accounting’s automation subject matter expert on various projects impacting the Department
- Continuous learning and ability to create training programs to teach Accounting Roadies new skills
- Champion the Accounting Automation Squad and host Excel & Power Platform trainings for the department
- An ideal candidate is someone who can envision and bring to life the “future state” process, thrives in a change environment, has experience using various systems, and is passionate about customer service

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, minor in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred
- 2+ years’ experience working in the accounting field, and at least 1 year creating and implementing business process improvement is required
- Experience collaborating with internal partners on process improvement initiatives and working on cross-functional project teams is preferred
- Proficiency with large-scale Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report and ERP systems (Basware, Trintech and D365)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Query, Power Automate, Power BI, Virtual Assistant, etc)
- Professionalism, strong attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure, and the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
- Desire to continuously learn and teach new skills
