Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing administrative operations and providing comprehensive administrative support to the Offices of General Counsel as well as Strategy and Enrollment, including serving as a first point of contact offering reception and hospitality. This position has access to confidential and proprietary information and is expected to exercise discretion and diplomacy. The Administrative Assistant reports to General Counsel.

- Strong skills in anticipating and executing support to executive leadership.
- Ability to follow complex instructions.
- Ability to consistently maintain a professional and friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment, while handling multiple requests and projects on different timeframes.
- Precise command of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and the proper usage of language to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing, as well as proofread.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of constituents at various leadership levels in a diverse community.
- Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of applications and systems to include: Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, database applications, document management, Adobe Acrobat and Sign, video platforms (such as Zoom and Teams), and digital imaging.
- Self-motivated to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision, regularly using critical thinking and making sound judgments.
- Excellent project/event planning and execution skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively coordinate and consolidate information from multiple sources and prepare executive reports.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and consistently exercise discretion and diplomacy.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Work Experience
Five (5) years of complex office support experience working for a high ranking official or executive. Note that experience in a law firm environment will be considered in lieu of said experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five (5) or more years of experience supporting an executive in higher education.
- Prior experience in a legal environment.
- Currently a Notary Public or willing to become a Notary Public.

N/A.
Work Hours
Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended or early hours as needed to meet departmental goals.This position is not eligible for remote work and works in-person on the university campus.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 10lbs of office materials.
- Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve office materials.
- Ability to regularly move about campus.
