POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for installing, updating, and maintaining key business applications needed for business operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE
- Provide support to existing production applications; and perform technical analysis, design, development, and implementation of new applications using existing and emerging platforms.
- Utilize available tools to automate/simplify tasks and recommend improvements in technical processes.
- Contribute to project task/timeline estimates and planning.
- Assist with technology improvement through ongoing research and education.
- Assist end users with troubleshooting applications.
- Investigate the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs.
- Function as troubleshooter to investigate and correct system and program defects.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of business needs and objectives to ensure timely responsiveness within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Analyze and tune product performance and troubleshoot deployment issues when required.
- Manage the documentation and testing of upgrades, enhancements, and patching of application systems.
- Provide customer support to internal and external customers.
- Provide direction and oversight of external vendors.
- Flexibility to perform other job duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
Education: Abachelor’s degree related to the IT field.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in application administration is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Server Administration.
- Experience with Windows workstation troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of Networking and how it pertains to applications.
- Knowledgeable on best security practices for applications/systems.
- Ability to analyze and solve moderate to complex issues.
- Basic understanding of common coding languages.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with internal and external customers.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Experience with Office 365 Suite, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience with SQL Server, TSQL scripting, and database administration preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) preferred.
