Required License/Registration/Certification

Art Therapist Registered-Board Certified national designation (ATR-BC) and Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT) or Licensed Professional Art Therapist Associate (LPATA) in Kentucky






Physical Requirements

Walking some distances, occasionally sitting at computer workstation for extended periods; lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 25 lbs;



Shift

Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm. Possibility of evening or weekend hours.



Job Summary

The Clinical Art Therapist will be responsible for the day-to-day clinical duties on in Kentucky Children’s Hospital including the new Pediatric Behavioral Health Unit and Pediatric Pain Management in conjunction with the Creative Arts Therapies team, the BHU team, and Pediatric Pain team.

The position will provide a patient centered experience when conducting art therapy with adolescent and pediatric psychiatric and medical populations; enhance patient experience by monitoring and responding to therapeutic evaluative information; respond to customer service issues in a timely manner, and maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation. May align the activities of students and interns with patient outcomes as assigned.

Preferred Education/Experience

Master’s degree in art therapy and 1 year or more years related experience.
